The Reverend Paul G. Albrecht, Superior, Nebraska, departed this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at the age of 72.  He was born in Bay City, Michigan, on May 12, 1936, to Rev. Gerhard Frank and Margaret (Paustian) Albrecht.  He was received into God's Kingdom through baptism on May 31, 1936.  He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin, in 1962.  He went through the colloquy program of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, graduating in 1993.  He served as pastor at the following congregations:  Good Hope (WELS), Ellensburg, and Good Faith (WELS), South Cle Elm, Washington (1962-69); Divine Peace (WELS), Renton, Washington (1969-77); Gethsemane (WELS), Omaha, Nebraska (1977-88); as Director of Evangelism-Assimilation, King of Kings, Omaha, Nebraska (1990-91); and as vicar and then pastor at Centennial, Superior, Nebraska (1991-present) and as vacancy pastor at St. Mark, Ruskin, Nebraska, for many years.  He also previously served as Deshler Circuit Counselor and as vacancy pastor for various other congregations through the years.

Pastor Albrecht is survived by his wife, Carol (Kohl) Albrecht; two daughters, Kristie (Kerry) Conner, Rockford, Minnesota, and Kim (Josh) Droegemueller, Serbin, Texas; two sons, Michael (Heather) Albrecht, Grafton, Wisconsin, and Kevin Albrecht, Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; brother-in-law, Brian Harris; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Owen and Bonnie Dorn; one niece and seven nephews, as well as other relatives.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Harris.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2008, at Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior, Nebraska.  Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska.
