Update for November 12

Greetings in the name of our loving heavenly Father.

Because of scheduling conflicts, there will not be a full Email Update this week. Following is a correction to a date published in last week's Update, as well as a bit of good news for this week.

LINCOLN CHOIR CONCERT CORRECTION
The date of the Lincoln Community Lutheran Choir Fall Concert in last week's Email Update was reported wrong. Following is the announcement with the correct dates and locations.

The Lincoln Community Lutheran Choir will present their fall concert on Saturday, November 22, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 239 Frank Street in Council Bluffs, and on Sunday, November 23, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2225 Washington Street in Lincoln. Both concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. The concerts, under the theme "Praise and Thanksgiving," will feature the music of Mendelssohn, Franck, Copland, and Shaw. Audience participation will include hymn singing. A reception will follow.



LUTHERAN HIGH NORTHEAST HEADS TO STATE VOLLEYBALL
The following announcement of good news was shared by Paul Leckband, executive director of Lutheran High Northeast in Norfolk.

The Lady Eagles of Lutheran High Northeast qualified for the State Volleyball Tourney after defeating Hartington Cedar Catholic for their District Championship on Friday, Nov. 7. This will be Lutheran High's first volleyball trip to State. They have been seeded #3 and will play Johnson-Brock on Thursday, Nov. 13, 8:30 p.m., at Lincoln East High School. The Lady Eagles carry a record of 28-5 into the State Tourney-a record number of wins for LHNE.
