Prayers and Gifts Needed for Bishop Andrew Mbugo Elisa of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sudan Please offer prayers for Bishop Andrew Mbugo Elisa who is currently hospitalized in Amman, Jordan, due to an inflammation of his brain. He has lost his balance, is visually impaired, and struggling with his speech as a result of this disorder. He is currently being treated with medication, but may also require surgery. His wife Linda is with him in Jordan. The hospitalization, treatments, and travel are very expensive, and an appeal has come forward from LCMS World Mission and Lutheran Heritage Foundation to assist Bishop Elisa and his family in this time of need. Since the Nebraska District in its 2006 Convention voted to partner with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sudan and is currently involved in various Lutheran Christian mission projects in Sudan, this appeal for prayer and gifts to help the Elisa family is coming to you.
