+ OBITUARY + Mrs. Dorothy L. (Moh) Hannemann, widow of the Reverend Norman A. Hannemann, Norfolk, Nebraska, departed this life on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at the age of 85. She was born on a farm near Granton, Wisconsin, on June 25, 1923, to Louis and Dora (Sternitzky) Moh. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton and confirmed on May 30, 1937. She also attended Zion Lutheran School. She worked in Marshfield, Wisconsin, St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri, and Hinsdale, Illinois, before her marriage. She was united in marriage to Norman Hannemann on June 6, 1948. Pastor Hannemann served congregations in Nebraska, Iowa, and Wyoming. She was very active in the life of the congregations he served and at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. She taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, worked with the ladies' organizations, sang in the choir, and volunteered in various other ways. She also worked for the American Legion Club in York for nine years to help her children through college. Mrs. Hannemann is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Rev. Steven Schlund, Great Falls, Montana; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rev. Phillip and Linda Hannemann, Rugby, North Dakota; Daniel Hannemann, Winchester, Virginia; and Rev. Dr. Mark and Sandra Hannemann, Omaha, Nebraska; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, and three brothers. The funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2009, at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska. Interment will be at the New Lutheran Cemetery in Norfolk.
